Sighting the moon: Ruet-e-Hilal Committee to meet today

KARACHI: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal board drove by Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman will meet today to locate the Shawwal moon.

In this way, the moon has not been located in the Gulf nations. Eid will fall on Wednesday for Saudi Arabia and the other Gulf states.

The moon for the month of Shawwal means the end of the heavenly month of Ramazan, denoting the begin of Eid-ul-Fitr. Eid day is a festival of the end of Ramazan, when Muslims can eat and drink amid the ordinary times and not quick from first light till dusk.

Pakistanis observe Eid with religious energy and get-up-and-go each year.
